I lived in various west-end Toronto neighbourhoods over ten years. They each have a distinct character, depending on when they were developed, but most areas tend to have a fairly similar look. Recently, some homeowners and developers have taken to tearing down those older houses and plopping modern shapes in, squatting like alien ships between their brick neighbours.
